"Crew of the Week"

28 Years and going strong ...
One of SRG's most successful programs returned for its 28th year as "Crew of the Week" kicked off in mid-April. Running through October, "Crew" each week provides free lunch to a hard-working field or packing house crew here in Kern County. KCHJ "El Gallito 1010" hosts the event and remotely broadcasts from the field. Crews are randomly selected from nominations made by El Gallito listeners the week preceding.
Local sponsors provide or cover the cost of the food, beverages and live entertainment (we bring bands along for mid-day mini-concerts!). Sponsor representatives accompany KCHJ on-air personalities Vicente Arias and Manolo Martinez. manolo has been with the program since its beginning. This year's sponsors include Ranch Markets, Barber Honda,
Bright House Networks, and beverage distributor, W. A. Thompson, Inc.
